There's a great many things that the Captain has problems with - answering yes or no questions, referring to himself in the third person, hearing the correct digits when given a numerical value - but perhaps the foible that irritates those he's interrogating the most is Powell's tendency to confuse female voices for that of a male's. Ed makes a few calls around Cleveland to gather more dirt on his suspect, paying visits to the Ugly Broad Tavern, Big Daddy's Pizza, and a restaurant... despite those on the other end pleading the fifth with the determined officer, he continues his line of leading questioning and repeatedly refers to women as 'sir' despite their exasperation (and frequent corrections).
