You Won’t Believe This Is a 46-Foot Yacht 😲 Aquila 46 – Tour & Review

In this video, YachtBuyer’s Jack Haines takes you on board the Aquila 46 Yacht, a sub-15.2 metre (50ft) power catamaran made for cruising and living aboard for longer periods of time. It replaces the hugely popular Aquila 44 but is a new design from the ground up. Built by Sino Eagle Yachts and styled by J&J Design, it offers shaft-drive propulsion with engine options to twin 550hp, and Aquila’s fixed foil system for improved efficiency and ride comfort. In this video, Jack walks through every part of the boat and shows what makes it one of the best-packaged cruising cats in its class. Starting at the stern, the 46 has a hidden boarding ladder and Aquila’s own tender-launch crane with a 450kg lift. The cockpit shows off the beam of the hull with features like a cockpit bar, chunky stools, and access up to the flybridge. Wide side decks lead to a foredeck that feels like it belongs on a much larger boat, with sunpads, storage lockers you can climb down into, and a forward staircase that links straight to the flybridge. Inside, the galley is huge with long countertops, an upright fridge freezer, a wine cooler, and masses of storage. The window behind the galley lifts to connect it to the cockpit bar, and the upright pillar found on older models has been removed. Opposite, the saloon sofa converts into a daybed with a pop-down TV and more deep storage behind. The standard layout has three cabins. The two guest cabins have proper double beds, deep lockers, and their own ensuites with separate showers. The owner’s cabin sits forward on the main deck and feels a class above for this size of yacht. There is space to walk around the bed, a desk area, and twin sinks that lead into a dedicated shower and toilet. Storage is strong throughout, and five-cabin versions are already proving popular with charter operators. For private owners who want long-range cruising comfort without moving up to a bigger boat, the Aquila 46 is worth a look. Interested?
