These go really well with sweets! We made them with a stewed apple recipe (apples, cinnamon, sugar, lemon juice, raisins, and some water cooked for around 20 minutes). Any type of sweet preserve pairs well with these :) Here is the bread recipe we use. Make sure to add the zest of a lemon and 1 egg! Only make half of the bread recipe in the video (unless you want to make a lot of Dampfnudeln). Make sure you let the bread dough rise for an hour after making it!
