So far it's been an adventurous day. In search of the local swimming hole, I took the wrong trail and ended up knee deep in mud climbing the side of a mountain barefoot. My sandels were rendered useless at this point. It wasn't until I reached the top that I realized my ascent was a waste of time. Going back down was no less easier. I finally found the right trail that took me four river crossings before reaching my destination. It was a deep reservoir of pristine water fed by the river. The reservoir was surrounded by rock cliffs that you could clime and dive off of. Mud and all, it was worth the journey. The joys of the jungle, from the Osa, CR.
