Communal Attack on Muslims at Tukkuguda – Pahadeshareef Police Inaction Raises Serious Concerns : A shocking incident of communal violence has come to light from Tukkuguda, under Maheswaram Mandal of Ranga Reddy District, where two Muslim youth — Syed Ali (Driver) and Waseem — were brutally targeted late at night. The victims were transporting eggs from Shamshabad when miscreants allegedly blocked the main road at Tukkuguda by placing a bandi (cart) across it. After forcibly stopping their auto, the attackers assaulted them and vandalized their vehicle. The attack appears to be premeditated and communal in nature. Displaying courage and presence of mind, Syed Ali and Waseem managed to escape from the spot by speeding away in their damaged auto. They immediately informed Amjed Ullah Khan (Spokesman, MBT) about the incident. Mr. Khan advised them to approach Pahadeshareef Police Station and lodge a formal complaint. However, in a deeply disturbing development, the officials at Pahadeshareef Police Station allegedly failed to take prompt action. Instead of immediately visiting the scene of crime, registering the FIR, and arresting the culprits, the victims were reportedly told to return the next morning — effectively turning away complainants of a serious communal assault. Mr. Amjed Ullah Khan has strongly condemned both the attack and the apparent inaction of the local police. He has demanded that the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, immediately intervene, order a fair investigation, suspend erring officers if necessary, and ensure that the culprits are arrested without delay. Communal elements must not be allowed to disturb peace and harmony in the region. Law enforcement agencies have a constitutional duty to act swiftly and impartially, especially in cases involving targeted violence.
