Birds colliding with architectural glass is a serious problem that most architects and facade engineers have encountered. Clients and building owners love the sheer beauty of a glass building, but it can be deadly for birds unable to discern between what is reflected and what is real. FlySafe 3D is a new, highly effective solution that just might put a sparkle in your eye. The concept is simple. Subtle 3D sequins are embedded in an interlayer on a grid pattern. The sequins catch light and twinkle, warning birds of danger and creating a highly effective, bird-friendly glass solution. Due to the 3D nature of the sequins, less coverage over the glass is required. The discreet sequin pattern covers less than 1% of the glass area, making it barely noticeable to building occupants.
