Mine-Cart Madness roller coaster is a must for anyone who grew up playing Donkey Kong Country series on the SNES, Wii, Wii-U, and Switch/2 systems. Just like in the game your ride vehicle appears to jump over sections of broken track. The fun starts when you get blasted out of a barrel cannon at the Golden Temple! Hop into a mine cart and go for a thrilling ride through the jungle, splashing water everywhere you go! This series of unpredictable thrills will make you scream with excitement! Join Donkey Kong and his pals in this race through the jungle on a wild adventure to protect the Golden Banana from the Tiki Tak Tribe! Of course your ride vehicle doesn't actually "jump" over anything. It is held to the rails with a vertical arm which you can see in our video on the cart before we got on. Kind-of like the Yeti destroying the track on Expedition Everest you will see the final boss (of Country Returns) twisting and braking the track, and you avoid disaster with a quick maneuver. There was a rollercoaster at Coney Island back in the 1920s that attempted to actually jump the track without hidden track, the "Cannon Coaster". But the car crashed most of the time during testing, so the gap was filled over before opening to the public. Over a century later, this ride first opened in Japan and then opened alongside Epic Universe in Florida. Overall we liked the ride.
