There is a tree that produces wood harder than concrete. Literally. It measures 2,620 PSI on the Janka scale — stronger than many construction materials. This wood does not rot. Not in soil. Not in water. Termites won’t eat it. Fungi can’t break it down. Fence posts installed in 1850 are still standing today. In the 1930s, farmers planted it across 30,000 miles of American farmland.
