Being called the father of modern Karnataka music, his works are of divine spirituality, full of melodic beauty. He wrote his first song when he was hardly 13. Soon he reached the loftiest pinnacle of musical fames and composed the grandest songs ever written and two music plays of uneqalled beauty. Tyagaraja Aradhana Festival is an annual Carnatic music festival usually held at Thiruvaiyaru, the birth place of the great saint Tyagaraja. The most famous of Saint Tyagaraja's Kritis, the Pancharatna kritis are sung on the Pushya Bahula Panchami - the day when he attained Samadhi. The Pancharatna kritis are a set of five kritis in Carnatic classical music, composed by Saint Tyagaraja. All the kritis, as is the case with almost all of Tyagaraja's compositions, are penned in Telugu, except the first one, which is composed in Sanskrit. The Pancharatna kritis were written in praise of the Hindu deity Rama. They are all set to Adi Tala. The Pancharatna Kritis are: Jagadananda Karaka (Raga Naata) Duduku gala (Raga Gowla) Sadhinchane (Raga Aarabh) Kanakana Ruchira (Raga Vaarali) Endaro Mahanubhavulu (Shree Raga) #AIRRaagam
