v 220 Sheep Farm CHORES Below Zero -22c : Sheep farming

It's cold - 22c it's Sunday 18th December 2022 and chores have to be done regardless ! This year we have streamlined the process a bit to make it easier, no more carrying water in a blizzard !! This is a crushing cold, It's mind boggling how the animals handle this we also see wild animals in the fields and bush nearby. Water in the wild is frozen solid and not going to thaw until the spring they eat snow. Our ewes and our dogs can go in the barn anytime they wish and we get water to them several times a day but I somtimes can't grasp that they are equaly equipped to handle cold just as the wild animals are . The dogs mainly lay in the straw outside.. everyone seems happy enough outside, the barn is often empty and the dog house rarely used. We feel the cold as we film even though we have very padded clothes, thick mitts, scarfs and hats etc. Batteries dont last long either so it's not always possible to film the entrire scene you were planning.. It's amazing that we've been able to film at all at such low temperatures so we are absolutely thrilled to be able to share this with you. Thank you to all of our subscribers for your support !
