The end of Microsoft Security Essentials on Windows 7?

In this video, I show a problem that I've been experiencing lately, where Microsoft Security Essentials on Windows 7 will only pull a definition update from February 26th. After that, it just can't connect to their servers anymore to pull any of the new definitions that Microsoft is releasing. You can still however install them manually from their website, which I find odd. Could this be some weird bug?! Who knows! Also Microsoft did take down the download for MSE years ago, I believe around the time Windows 7 lost support. I found an old download online somewhere but don't remember where as it was a long time ago. I am sure it isn't too difficult to find if anyone wanted to test this. Anyways thanks for watching, as I just wanted to make people aware of this issue that has been happening as of recently! I did notice today while uploading this video that in the Reddit post someone posted in the comments a possible way to fix the auto updates, but I did not try it as it was posted hours after I recorded this video already.
