We had a wonderful Sherpa New Year celebration this past weekend on Saturday March 1, 2025, filled with excitement, joy, and a deep sense of community. The event brought together Sherpas from all over Colorado and out of State Sherpa’s, creating a vibrant atmosphere of togetherness and tradition. There was an abundance of delicious food and drinks, reflecting the rich flavors of our culture. Throughout the event, we enjoyed a variety of cultural performances, showcasing traditional music, dance, and rituals that made the celebration even more special. It was truly a memorable gathering, reminding us of the importance of preserving and sharing our heritage with future generations. Thank you very much to Ai Nima Mt. Fuji Boulder, Achu Gyaljen, and Ai Minji from Avon for your hard work and dedication in making this event a success. Your efforts in organizing everything so well truly made a difference, and we deeply appreciate the time and energy you put into it. It was a wonderfully coordinated celebration, and we couldn’t have done it without you. Great job! We are also excited to share that we have selected the Losar organizing team for 2026, who will lead next year’s Sherpa New Year celebration. The team includes Mr. Fur Tenzing Sherpa and Mrs. Chhimi Sherpa, Mr. Pemba Kamba Sherpa and Mrs. Mingma Yangi Sherpa, as well as Mr. Nima Gyaljen Sherpa and Mrs. Neera Sherpa. In addition, we are pleased to announce the organizing team for our upcoming summer event, Fang Ngi 2025. This year’s organizers are Mr. Nima Rita Sherpa, Mr. Lama Dawa Sherpa, Mr. Ang Thukten Sherpa, and Mrs. Nyima Sherpa. It is our mission to encourage, support, and empower younger generations of Sherpas to take on leadership roles within the community. As we look to the future, it is essential that the next generation remains actively involved in preserving and promoting our unique Sherpa culture in Colorado . #coloradosherpa #coloradonepali 🙏🙏🙏♥️♥️♥️
