In August 2024 I thru-hiked Kungsleden, establishing the Fastest Known Time for women, self-supported in 6 days, 7 hours, 50 minutes. This is the sixth and final day of the journey. Day Six Blog: https://www.pinkfeathers.com/kungsled... Day Six on Strava: / strava My Kungsleden Playlist on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/46n... Kungsleden (King's Trail) is a hiking trail in northern Sweden, approximately 467 kilometers (290 mi) long, between Hemavan in the south and Abisko in the north. The trail has seven water crossings that are necessary to cross by boat: some boats are motorized, some you row yourself! About me: My name is Liz Derstine and I’m a professional musician, writer, and enthusiastic trail runner and hiker. I’ve set Fastest Known Times for women on the Appalachian Trail northbound, Vermont’s Long Trail, the Pinhoti Trail in Georgia/Alabama, SCAR (Smokies Challenge Adventure Run), and the Swiss Via Alpina. I began this channel as a way to chronicle my outdoor adventures and keep in touch with those that have enjoyed following along and being part of my wild journey. Huge thank you to Mountain Hardwear for outfitting and supporting me on this journey! I was so happy with my set up and felt prepared for all the elements, and was especially glad I could trust in my equipment to keep me safe and warm. Some of my favorite items for this trek include the Nimbus UL1 Tent, Ghost Whisperer Hoody, and Premonition UL Anorak. mountainhardwear.com End music credit written and played by me!
