Wild Uganda: From Local Life to Gorilla Treks

Join me on a breathtaking group journey through the heart of Uganda. Our adventure began in Jinja and Namwendwa, where we had warm and inspiring encounters with local communities. We witnessed traditional gin distillation, bark cloth making, and the craft of shaping saucepans — a true glimpse into Ugandan daily life. At the stunning Sipi Falls, we hiked through misty trails to reach the cascading waterfalls, followed by an evening of captivating storytelling by a local group. Next, we explored Murchison Falls National Park, where game drives and a boat trip on the Nile brought us face to face with diverse wildlife and the raw power of the Murchison Falls. In Kibale Forest, we tracked chimpanzees through the dense jungle — an unforgettable experience seeing these intelligent primates in their natural habitat. We continued to Queen Elizabeth National Park, enjoying more game drives and a peaceful boat safari, surrounded by abundant wildlife and colorful birdlife. One of the highlights came at Bwindi National Park, where we set off on a thrilling gorilla trekking adventure. Seeing these majestic creatures up close in the wild was truly awe-inspiring. We spent a night under the stars next to Lake Mburo National Park, where hippos roamed near our tents — an exciting and slightly nerve-wracking experience! After a relaxing stay on Ssees Island, we wrapped up our journey with a serene boat ride through the Mabamba Swamp, in search of the elusive and iconic shoebill stork.
