He is also a professor emeritus of psychology at the University of Toronto and a bestselling author of three books: Maps of Meaning, 12 Rules for Life, and Beyond Order. Peterson was born and raised in Alberta, where he obtained bachelor’s degrees in political science and psychology from the University of Alberta. He has also been involved in various projects such as consulting for businesses and governments, advising entrepreneurs, hosting podcasts, and leading seminars on biblical stories. Peterson is also a prolific researcher who has published over 100 scientific papers with his students and co-authors on topics such as personality, creativity, intelligence, alcoholism, aggression, motivation, neuropsychology, and social psychology. His work has been cited over 19,000 times according to Google Scholar. Peterson is married to Tammy Roberts and has two children.
