28 Years Later's confirmation raises several questions surrounding the previous installments of the movie trilogy, with one of them revolving around 28 Weeks Later's child actors and the possibility of their return in the third film. However, after all these years, 28 Years Later is finally happening, allowing the movie series to end as a well-rounded trilogy. However, as exciting as 28 Years Later may seem, it makes one wonder about the possibility of the return of 28 Weeks Later's primary characters. In 28 Weeks Later, Andy Harris is portrayed by Mackintosh Muggleton, who made his acting debut with the movie sequel. Even though 28 Weeks Later was his first major acting project, Muggleton did a commendable job at portraying his character's fears, selflessness, and willingness to put his life on the line for his family. Towards the end of 28 Weeks Later, Muggleton's character, Andy, was bitten by his infected father before his elder sister, Tammy, attempted to save him. Although 28 Weeks Later hinted that Andy may have been immune despite showing some symptoms of the rage virus infection, his fate remained unknown in the film's final arc. This leaves room for Andy's return in 28 Years Later. However, actor Mackintosh Muggleton seems to have made no new appearances as an actor after 28 Weeks Later. He previously directed and wrote a short titled The Man in the Mist in 2016 and is also starring in another short named Just Another Soldier, which is in pre-production.
