Watch as the black surface heated by the suns energy causes the hand boiler to "boil". Hand boilers don't actually boil the liquid. The heat from your hand heats the gas inside causing the gas to expand and pressure to increase. As pressure increases the liquid is forced up the tube from the bottom chamber to the top. The bubbling that looks like boiling is actually just the gas bubbles passing the liquid as it continues to expand and travel from the bottom to the top chamber. Neat science demonstration and it looks cool on a shelf.
