They held a ribbon cutting at about 6:45 AM and opened the store at 7 AM, local time. Cheyenne City Mayor, Patrick Collins, spoke for a few during the ceremony in addition to the Sprouts store manager. The new Sprouts store took over a former Bed Bath and Beyond which was built in 2007 and opened around the same time; Bed Bath and Beyond closed on April 23rd, 2023, the day that the company filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. Once Sprouts came into the picture and had their permits approved, the store was completely gutted, even down to the concrete floor, and some alterations were made to the front entry and facade. The former Bed Bath and Beyond was used by Spirit Halloween in 2023; that year, Spirit also had another location in the old former Big Lots as well.
