Cockatiel Room: December 2025, Part 3

Cockatiel Room, recorded in December 2025, this is part three of the video. There are nine cockatiels in this room. It could actually be considered a cage, but since the walls are made of lightweight brick, we thought it would be okay to call it a room. This room isn't really that impressive; it was originally an open space in a corner of our backyard. We tried to partition it off to make it useful, and put a roof on it. It could be used as a storage shed for things like hoes, water pumps, lawn mowers, or some logs and possibly animal feed. It could also be used as a birdhouse. We used lightweight brick for the walls considering the weather here. It's quite windy here, and it's quite close to our neighbor's house. Using lightweight brick as a barrier helps block out the noise from the birds. However, we didn't completely enclose the room with lightweight brick; the entire front of the room is wire mesh, so air circulation remains good. This is important because this part of Indonesia can be quite hot during certain months. If the weather is warm enough, the cockatiels won't overheat. We also added a large bowl for the cockatiels to soak in during the hot summer days.
