These are my first handcuffs from Thailand. They are marked Super High. These are only single locking, they have no double lock at all. The mechanism is based on the Takeda / Masuri Japanese handcuffs, utilising a pin wheel mechanism with holes drilled into the thin edge of the bow. These are all steel, likely plated with either nickel or chrome. When I received them, the swivels were totally seized up. I had to use oil and pliers to work the oil in, to make them able to swivel. The swivels are not smooth but they do twist easily now! The double lock on the Japanese Takeda etc models is almost pointless because of how easily both accidentally or intentionally, it is to disengage. So the fact that these Super High have no double lock, is a bit better than having one that is less useful than a chocolate fireguard lol. Enjoy! #handcuffs #police #restraints
