Excuse the cringe thumbnail lol. I told chatgpt what this video is about and if it can make me an epic thumbnail and this is what I got. I found it pretty hilarious how it mangled the S3200 - it's an AKAI 8003 now lol. ... found a ruff version of this in my wip folder so I thought I'd finish it since the mixer is currently occupied but this doesn't need one. Now that it's uploaded I think it might be a bit weak in the bass region but whatever ... it is what it is now. S3200 stereo out straight through the 3630 into the audio interface. Then some master EQing and limiting in the box. MIDI sequencing with Renoise. Memory usage ~3MBs. Some samples off the Korg M1 keyboard for the strings and bell sounds. The S3200 is basically just a maxed out S3000. The only difference is that it can accept a MO Disk Drive which is totally obsolete. I like the way it sounds really gritty when you pitch samples down an octave or two. Not something you can achieve on the S1000 or S900. But it doesn't let you downsample below 22050Hz internally and the resampling in general sounds pretty clean so the only way to get gritty is to speed up the audio prior sampling and then pitch it down. The more extreme the better. On the later XL series you can can go crazy on the internal resampling to achieve very gritty aliasing fx. Not here.
