There are things prayer can do. And there are things unforgiveness can block. Before we ask GOD, we must first check our hearts. In Mark 11:25, JESUS said, “When you stand praying, forgive…” — not after the prayer, not when you feel like it, but when you stand praying. Forgiveness is not weakness. It is obedience. It is alignment. It is spiritual maturity. You cannot ask GOD for mercy while withholding mercy. You cannot desire open heavens with a closed heart. In Matthew 6:14–15, we are reminded that forgiveness keeps our relationship with the Father clear and unhindered. If you’ve been praying and it feels delayed, this is your gentle reminder to pause and ask the Holy Spirit: “Is there anyone I need to release?” Forgiveness does not mean what they did was right. It means you trust GOD enough to handle it. Answered prayer begins with a surrendered heart.
