Im sure every photographer at some point dreams of making a living with nothing other than there camera, but is that why we fall in love with the process? to chase after clients who will pay us large sums of money for our art? Here is the truth that is hard to swallow. at least it was for me. Those good paying clients aren't paying you for art most of the time, they are paying you to bring awareness to what they are selling. This took all the joy out of the process for me. Any day of the week I would rather be out in the back woods with my friends creating unforgettable moments on bikes boards, sleds, or anything that is fast paced and adrenaline filled. the issue is these are not the projects that pay out a livable wage. but they are always an incredible time to create. It's not always about the money. if you want a job then chase down every paying client who wants you to showcase there project but if you are looking for fulfilment follow your passion and go create art.
