There are rubber feet at the back and front on the bottom to keep it from sliding, and it requires 2 AAA batteries which are included. Inside the battery bay is a storage slot for the USB dongle, so you can stow it safely for travel, though I found getting it out of this slot a little difficult. The wireless optical mouse is 4” long, 2.5” wide, and 1.5” tall. The exterior has a matte plastic finish without any silicone or rubber padding, except for the clickable scroll wheel, which I prefer as I’ve found rubber grips tend to degrade over time. The DPI button toggles between low, medium, and high, and the actuation distance for the left and right click buttons is short and does not require a lot of pressure to engage. This mouse is about 2/3 the size of my gaming mouse, so if feels a bit small, especially if you have big hands or are used to a bigger mouse. It is lightweight at only around 2.5 oz. Just press and hold the connect buttons after switching to Bluetooth mode. Either way, the connections are stable, fast, and reliable. I didn’t notice any difference in the input responsiveness whether using the USB dongle or over Bluetooth. For the mouse, the different DPI settings correspond to 800, 1200, and 1600 DPI, so you change the cursor travel distance relative to physical motion quickly and easily. Just note that the scroll wheel has a fairly high actuation force requirement when clicked and the scroll increments are small but discrete. Overall, both the keyboard and mouse work great. I like that they are both small and lightweight for travel and that I can use them with both computers and mobile devices with dual connectivity options. While I typically prefer rechargeable devices, the disposable batteries are rated to last over 6 months depending on usage.
