This is one of the greatest football games in Anderson High School football history. Future NFL star, Mark Edwards, was Norwood's featured player and perhaps the greatest football player ever to come out of Cincinnati. The 1992 Anderson Redskins were the first undefeated football team at Anderson since 1948. It was the first team ever to make it to the state playoffs where it defeated the Princeton Vikings in overtime 13-10 and then lost in the regional final 14-7 to the St. Xavier Bombers. This particular game, Norwood v Anderson was a slugfest that went down to the wire with Anderson prevailing 23-21. It was a cleanly played, brutally physical, and exciting football game. I was #49 (Pat Hines) and was only a roll-player on that great Anderson team. It was such a privilege for me to play a small part of such a great team. Enjoy!
