Zomlot was previously head of the Palestinian Liberation Organization Mission to the US, which was closed by Trump’s administration. He is also a senior member of Fatah, the main Palestinian movement, and a strategic advisor to the Palestinian President. In the past, Zomlot served as director of Fatah’s Commission for Foreign Relations, and was previously a Professor of Public Policy at Birzeit University.
