The John Shea Trio is one of the premier jazz groups in Grand Rapids, Michigan. John is an amazing pianist and great human. This is one of the few actual videos with footage of performance. My friend David Hatfield is on drums and I have my tenor sax, playing one of my favorite jazz standards, “The Nearness of You" at Carolina's Low Country Bar and Grill in East Grand Rapids. This is a quintessential Valentine’s ballad.
