BERING CHARTER: From Freeport to Nassau

In preparation for the charter season opening, B92 Papillon has traveled from Freeport to Nassau. In this video Bering founder Alexei Mikhailov talks with our new partner and Charter program operator Tamas Hamor from Xquisite, discusses the boat performance and the crew with Firat, the captain of Papillon, and interviews Natalee, a future Bering owner whose boat is currently in build and who wanted to experience what travel on Bering really feels like – before getting a yacht of her own. Every trip to the Bahamas is fun, and it was very exciting this time. Bering tested its B92 before sending her to the first charter trip. We visited the Xquisite marina and catamaran center, where Alexei had an inspiring conversation with its owner Tamas. Finally, B92 participated in the 2024 Bahamas Charter Yacht Show. Starting in Freeport, Papillon left the Xquisite Catamaran Center, which serves as a boating hub and a center of operations for the Bering Charter program. Alexei Mikhailov and Tamas Hamor discussed a very interesting issue – how to build an owner community that would bring together future and prospective owners, allow showcasing Bering boats, and could be used as a company's service and training center. In the end, guys talked a bit about the Bering chartering. The trip from Freeport to Nassau was not an easy one. An Arctic blast was awaiting B92 on the way with the winds of over 40 knots and 12-foot waves. As Alexei noted, the passengers actually enjoyed this trip as Papillon was able to withstand the adversity and behaved very well. Safety and stability are the trademarks of Bering boats, and as the captain said, riding B92 was very easy and the overall condition of the boat was amazing. The boat is safe, her performance – consistent, and everything onboard was flowing smoothly and predictable. Same said Natalee, our customer, whose boat is currently on Bering staples in Antalya. She is not a very experienced sea traveler, but experienced no worries, and had no problems with B92 in stormy conditions. “Handling the sea magnificently” – a great compliment from our customer. Feeling very comfortable and experiencing perfect service, this was the resume of the trip experience. The all-female crew created a special ambiance, even though the team did not have a lot of time together. The professionalism and hospitality of the staff made being onboard Papillon very home-like.
