In this episode, Sfiso Benard Nxumalo, President of the Oxford Law Black Alumni Network, interviews Justice Steven Majiedt, judge of the Constitutional Court of South Africa. Justice Steven Majiedt is a Justice of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of South Africa since 2019. Prior to this, he served as a Justice of the Supreme Court of Appeal and was an advocate at the Northern Cape Society of Advocates. Justice Majiedt's career focused on advocating for the voiceless, and he has presided over complex and controversial cases in areas such as international criminal law, statutory licensing requirements, socio-economic rights, and hate speech.
