Love of My Life WORDS & MUSIC Dennis Jernigan I wrote this song as a gift to my amazing wife, Melinda, in celebration of our 42nd wedding anniversary. As we grow older, our love seems to grow sweeter, but there is a bitter-sweetness at the same time. You'll notice my voice is somewhat less than stellar. You can thank Parkinson's for that. I will not allow Parkinson's, or anything else, for that matter, to keep me from expressing my love for Melinda, who has given so much to me throughout the course of our entire life together. I want my wife to know how much I love her, but I can never find the exact words or best way to say it. This is my latest attempt. Even though Parkinson's may be trying to silence me, and threatens to, one day, cause me to forget the ones I love the most, I cannot even imagine forgetting someone so incredible as my beautiful, loving, caring, joyful wife. Melinda, you truly are the love of my life. And I love you…you love me so well and I will go down trying to do the same for you... Dennis
