A Connection To The Past

Valiant Effort Foundation's existence centers around the desire to bring the past to those here in the present. While we enjoy doing so to anyone who is curious about what WW2 military aviation was like, it is extra special when we can give that insight to someone who's had a relative that served in that era as a pilot. John Davis is one such person. His father was Walter Davis, an individual who flew P-38's for the USAAF over Europe, then B-36s for the new USAF during the Korean War. A pilot himself, John was interested in knowing what flying was like for his father back then. While we dot have access to either of those two marvelous machines, we could put him in his father's shoes for what it was like when he earned his wings.
