Female residents at the sprawling Al-Hol camp set fire to buildings on Tuesday as Kurdish troops abandoned the site under attack by the Syrian army. Videos shared on social media show the camp in chaos as dozens of inmates, all in head-to-toe black dress of Islamic State women, walk free. Other chilling footage, reportedly from inside the camp, shows smoke rising as a woman can be heard saying “there are no guards”.
