The restaurant is most famous for its signature chicken dishes made from Qingyuan chicken, especially the "Original Scallion Oil Chicken" (Cong You Lin Ji) and the "White Cut Chicken" (Bai Qie Ji), both praised for their smooth skin and tender meat. The road was constructed in 1919 on the site of the demolished ancient city wall, and its name is reportedly linked to a political figure from the Republican era; historically, it was famous as "Bamboo Ware Street," concentrating a large number of shops selling mountain goods, bamboo products, rattan wares, and straw mats. Today, Taikang Road has completely transformed. Although some traditional Qilou (arcade-style) buildings are still preserved on its north side, it is now best known as an exceptionally important wholesale distribution hub for accessories, boutique items, and wedding supplies in Southern China and the entire country.
