This is my tutorial on how to farm feathers with a ritualist in the game Guild Wars. Here is a list of what skills and armour you will need in order to accomplish this run (note that it's easier in Normal Mode and I find it to be considerably quicker as well. In 10 minutes I managed to get 98 feathers. This build can be used in Hard Mode, though.) 1 Shadowsong 2 Pain 3 Vampirism 4 Bloodsong 5 Signet of Spirits 6 Summon Spirits 7 Armor of Unfeeling 8 Painful Bond You will also need the following attribute points: 13 Communing 11 Channelling Magic 10 Spawning Power This can be accomplished by wearing the following insignias and runes on the armour pieces: Head -- Radiant + Superior Communing Communing + 1 (stacking) Communing + 3 (Non-Stacking) Health -- 75 Energy +1 Chest -- Radiant + Minor Channelling Magic Channelling Magic + 1 (Non-Stacking) Energy + 3 Gloves --Radiant + Minor Spawning Power Spawning Power + 1 (Non-Stacking) Energy + 1 Legs -- Radiant + Minor Vigour Health +30 (Non-Stacking) Energy + 2 Energy Recovery + 1 Feet -- Radiant + Minor Restoration Magic Restoration Magic + 1 (Non-Stacking) Energy + 1 Energy Recovery + 1 Staff used throughout the run: Staff of the Forgotten (easily obtained at the end of the Nightfall campaign) Energy + 15 Dark Dmg 11-22 (Requires 9 Communing) Halves Skill Recharge of Spells (Chance: 20%) Energy + 5 (While Health is Above 50%) Health + 30 With the armour now sorted, you should have the attributes (bear in mind that you can have a maximum of 200 attribute points. If you have less than that, this farm may be a lot harder so it is worth getting the others. If you don't know what quests provide these, check here:http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Attrib...) ************************************************************** Usage: Coming out of D'alessio seaboard, cast your spirits and watch out for the fire imps. Follow them until they have a good vantage point on the hill and then cast Summon Spirits, Armour of Unfeeling and lure them with Painful Bond. They cause burning so quickly hop out of the way! Make a complete circuit around the map, watching out for the patrols of tengu. As always with this build, cast skills 1-5 first, followed by Armour of Unfeeling and then lure the enemies when they're bunched up together with Painful Bond (therefore hexing all of them at once.) If you find that an enemy is attacking you, just use Summon Spirits and their priorities should quickly change :p Make sure to use salvage kits of the feather caps as they hold 2-3 feathers each. Tengu Armour, as far as I know, does not contain any feathers. As I said, this run takes about 10 minutes in Normal Mode and is the quickest and best option for me when farming feathers. In Hard Mode, although possible, it does take quite a while and isn't worth it unless you're specifically going after gold items as well.
