PART 2 Once rims and tires are on. There is a clearance issue with the front wheels to the body. I show how to make as much clearance as possible without a lift kit or heavily modifying the body. I didn't really think about adding a review, a viewer asked questions on the ride, fuel mileage, etc, to get my honest opinion on how it has been driving and now it's been a few thousand miles since completing the swap. So here it is - I'm running 65 lbs in the tires (a lot more than the old) and Max pressure is 80lbs. The larger tire with higher pressure rides the same if not better, I feel they don't jolt me on a bump or pothole like the old. They roll over bumps because of being larger, absorb them better. It tracks perfectly straight and stops straight. They don't follow the grooves in the road like the old tires did. The ride isn't as quiet as with the old tire. The new tires are more aggressive though and there is something to say about the quality of the ride Michelin gives. I think they are still fairly quiet. The acceleration is virtually the same as it was before and while towing 8500 lbs I notice no difference. To do 50 mph the speedometer reads about 47 and I'm planning on fixing that by getting a speedometer gear for the transmission to make it read correctly. Last but not least I think I've lost about 2 mpg in fuel economy that's been the only downside but I didn't think it was going to change that much even though I expected it would change a little going to a bigger tire. It's noticeable and even with the diesel. I've got a tuner, cold air intake, and an aftermarket exhaust. I'm thinking of changing to a newer larger exhaust to try to get that mileage loss back. Maybe a different compressor wheel and anything else to boost mileage, I guess we'll see. All and all I would do it swap again.
