Lochen Tulku Rinpoche is a Buddhist spiritual leader and the 19th reincarnation of Lotsawa Rinchen Zangpo (958-1055). He is the Spiritual Head and Director of Key Gompa, a Tibetan Buddhist monastery in the Spiti Valley of Himachal Pradesh, India. Rinchen Zangpo was a chief priest and translator of Sanskrit Buddhist texts into Tibetan. He is credited with building over 100 monasteries, including the Tabo Monastery in Spiti. The Key Monastery in Spiti is the seat of the line of Lochen Tulkus. The title "Rinpoche" is a Tibetan word that means "precious one".
