In Focus: Lygia Pape ‘Ttéias’ | White Cube

Known for her influential role in the development of contemporary art in Latin America, Lygia Pape’s experimental and multidisciplinary career spanned over five-decades. A selection of the artist’s most renowned works were on view at White Cube Seoul, including a site-specific installation from the artist’s celebrated ‘Ttéia’ series, produced by the artist from 1976 through to the early 2000s. The artist said of the series: ‘The strands of thread in the dark room are reminiscent of musical strings, spider silk, waterfalls or rays of light breaking out of a cloud.’ Lygia Pape’s exhibition is on view at White Cube Seoul until 25 May 2024.
