The “Bottega del Tintoretto” in Venice is an association directed by Roberto Mazzetto that preserves traditional printing techniques. The workshop is located near the home of Jacopo Robusti, known as “Il Tintoretto.” Jacopo Robusti (late September or early October 1518[2] - May 31, 1594), best known as Tintoretto (/ˌtɪntəˈrɛtoʊ/ TIN-tə-RET-oh; Italian: [tintoˈretto], Venetian: [tiŋtoˈɾeto]), was one of the greatest aritists of an Italian Renaissance of the Venetian school. We are a group of artists who have been active since 1986, next to the palace that was the home of Jacopo Robusti, known as Tintoretto, an art printing workshop equipped with presses and tools recovered from ancient Venetian print shops. The founders' intent is to preserve and popularize the tradition of artisan printing and to promote its production. Bottega del Tintoretto offers annual and intensive workshops to approach the classical techniques of engraving, woodcut and lithography as well as experimental techniques developed during the 20th century. https://www.tintorettovenezia.it/
