A TOUGH START TO VAN LIFE IN MOROCCO

Thanks so much for tuning back in with us!! Our Moroccan van life adventure begins… and it’s not all smooth sailing. In this episode, we cross into Morocco for the very first time and head straight to Asilah, a charming coastal town filled with stunning blue-and-white buildings and colorful street art. We try our very first Moroccan tagine, soak in the vibrant culture, and begin to get a feel for van life in North Africa. After a scenic drive, we find a beachside campsite, run up the sand dunes for an epic Moroccan sunset, and finally start to feel like we’re settling in… but that’s when things take a turn. In Safi, we experience a much more hectic side of Morocco. We’re pulled from pillar to post by locals wanting to sell us things or show us around—it quickly becomes overwhelming, and we have to make a quick exit. But the real challenge begins when our campervan starts having mechanical problems. After a stressful visit to a VW garage in Marrakesh that makes things worse, we’re forced to drive 3 hours to find someone who can actually help fix our van. It’s been a tough start to van life in Morocco, but this is only the beginning of our journey. Join us as we dive into the highs and lows of traveling by van through this fascinating country.
