Calif. Zephyr in Ft. Morgan on 05APR2025 With a POV

This morning's California Zephyr #5 made its station stop in Fort Morgan at 0610 MDT (25 min. late). Leading the 9-car train was P42 #203 (in Operation Lifesaver livery of Black and Yellow, Bumblebee colors) and P42 #140 in Phase V livery. They brought the 9-car train to a stop with car 7 to the station ramp for service to 1 detraining person then 4 new fares boarded the coach. Yes, a coffee from the lounge car attendant was at the door of the lounge car today. Got my exercise in chasing the coffee down as the car went past. LOL! With the station work safely completed, the high ball was given and on a clear signal the Zephyr rolled west toward its next stop at Union Station in Denver. The 9th car in this train was a private car owned by Iowa Interstate Railroad. The car is their Number 100 and named "Hawkeye". It has a storied past that can be read at iaisrailfans.org.
