DEMON ALTERS!? | Non-Human Alters in Dissociative Identity Disorder | Switching & Dissociation

Soren, Mike, Sally, Red and Kem work together to explain why some DID Systems might form Demon Alters after experiencing repeated trauma. By explaining the reasons behind why Alters may present this way we hope to reduce the stigma around Dissociative Identity Disorder (formerly known as Multiple Personality Disorder) and help people understand how particular traumas and emotions can directly relate to the formation of specific Alters. This is the first video we successfully filmed after our break and a lot of inter-system communication was needed to manage it. We are happy to share how our switches, communication, co-fronting and being blendy can look for our System to destigmatise these aspects of DID and show that they are just normal daily parts of this disorder. We kept only a small amount visible in the video as we wanted to keep the focus on this important subject topic instead.
