Dominus was a Danish death metal band, formed in 1991. They recorded 2 demos, 1 EP and 4 albums and are mostly well known for being the band that preceded the now famous Volbeat, which was named after Dominus' 3rd album. Astaroth was their 2nd demo and, if you heard "Ambrosias Locus" before, you will hear a quality improvement. Their songs are more fleshed out and well thought, the productions miles better and their style settled down more. Essentially, the band only needed a label that would help them release their debut album "View to the Dim" so they proved themselves in Astaroth.
