While we thought that Volkswagen had done a decent job with the driving experience and the design, the interior quality wasn’t up to the brand’s usual standards while the woeful infotainment system felt like something in the early stages of development rather than the finished thing. But now, a year earlier that planned (mainly because of all those teething issues) Volkswagen is back to have another go. The 2023 ID.3 comes with a raft of improvements that aim to reassure buyers that quality and reliability are still things that Volkswagen cares about. From an improved infotainment system to better seats, Volkswagen has done its best to improve the ID.3’s image. But it’s not all good news - particularly for UK buyers.
