Breaking News: R.I.P. Michael Jackson 1958-2009 It really saddens me to hear the King Of Pop is no longer among us. He has been a true inspiration and always will be. Michael's performances were always outstanding and his style of dancin' gave many hip hop dancers a chance to also shine in the spotlights. With his 1983 Thriller album (over 100 million sold!) and forthcoming single Beat It he made it legit to be street. He made "black" and "white" music come together and melt like one. Michael Jackson was the first "black" artist to get airplay on MTV, which was up 'till that moment an all white station with all white music. While the whole world seemed to be against hip hop, Michael Jackson chose to collaborate with a host of hip hop artist (f.i. Heavy D., Wreckx-N-Effect, Notorious B.I.G. etc.) and continued to do so. I can go on forever and ever listing all the things he managed to accomplish through the years, but I think it's enough to say that Michael Jackson was the heart of a whole generation, touched the hearts of many generations and will live on in their hearts forever.
