It's been a little while since I last played this, so it felt like a good time to go back and get another character done. This time, I'm using the Sorceress. She's a fan favorite for some reason, but it took me a while to try her out because as far as gameplay goes, she isn't my type of character. I always prefer melee over spell casters in pretty much every game where there's an option, but she's still well made and fun to use. She may seem a little complicated at first, but she's actually pretty straightforward once you figure out which spells are good and how to approach general combat. You don't want to melee anything too often, just use spells (up + O, hold O, and the jumping hold O attacks are typically all you need), charge up your mana when you have a chance, and repeat. For her limited use spells, blizzard is great for clearing out big groups of enemies, the thundercloud is good for dishing out constant mindless damage, and protection is helpful for bosses or the more annoying enemy waves. That's all you really need, but there are uses for some of her other spells too. Conjure food is good for survivability (and for the Ancient Dragon), ice prison is good for the killer rabbit, and the rest of her spells I hardly ever used. Gravity is good for rounding up a bunch of weak enemies, but I never felt like it was worth a bag slot. I'd recommend bringing two staves instead of four spells, so you can switch out when the durability gets low or when you get to a water area while holding a fire staff (water nullifies it), but maybe that's just me. Dragon's Crown is one of my favorites, and it's great going back to it every once in a while. I've got three more characters left to do Infernal with, and next up I'll probably go with the Fighter. This game goes on sale all the time on the PlayStation Store, and in fact, it's on sale right now for only $3.99 (in America). If you haven't played it yet, I highly recommend picking it up. It might be the best $4 you ever spend!
