During an evening walk Marcus invited me in for some ginger tea. While talking with him and his family I came up with the idea of asking him to go on a fishing trip. He agreed and the next day we made it happen. Together with Marcus and 2 friends we went into the sea for a few hours to try to catch some fish. That day the conditions weren't so great so we barely caught anything. It was a nice experience to see how the fishermen live their daily lives. After getting back to main land we went to check out the fishermen that use the 2 tractors to pull back a net at the Negombo beach. They caught way more fish, mostly small silver fish. As Marcus helped them he received some fish as a reward. We went back to his house, his wife cooked a nice fish omelet accompagnied by a ginger tea for me. It was delicious to say the least. Because Marcus had left a great impression on me I wanted to give him something back.
