Denise Eide demonstrates how to teach words through Spelling Analysis and explains how this powerful and effective process strengthen students' spelling skills, reading skills, and understanding of why words are written the way they are. Spelling Analysis is the heart of each Logic of English lesson, and teaching it effectively can make a huge difference in students' reading and spelling success. This section, the first part of a two-part introduction to Spelling Analysis, focuses on teaching one-syllable words, including words with a silent final E. (Steps 3 and 4, used for multi-syllable words, will be discussed in a later video.) This video is Part 9 in a series of highlight videos from the Logic of English Master Teacher Training Course in Rochester, Minnesota in July 2015.
