Update 2.2 of DOOM: The Dark Ages finally lets you play the game on the Steam Deck, which was previously impossible, due to forced raytracing, and terrible performance. This is a brief, low-effort run through of the first chapter, to give Steam Deck users a better idea of what to expect, performance-wise. Long story short: They delivered on their promise in the patch notes. The game runs pretty consistently now, at 30fps or higher, at least in the first chapter. I'm genuinely impressed. I highly recommend using XeSS upscaling set to Ultra Quality instead of the default FSR. Looks much cleaner, and runs a bit better.
