In this video, we will be working one of the HIGHEST PAYOFF thoracic spine exercise drills you can do called THORACIC GLIDES & ROTATIONS. The thoracic spine is one of THE most neglected area of the body when following traditional physical therapy protocols for Multiple Sclerosis (MS). The main functions of the 12 bones of the thoracic spine is to allow for FLEXION, EXTENSION, AND ROTATION in your body. In fact, thoracic movement is the KEY rotational driver for your walking as a human being. In order for you to move well, transfer movement between your upper and lower body, and walk with less strain, you MUST improve the mobility and strength of your middle spine. This makes sense because your thoracic spine makes up 50% of your spinal movements. When performed correctly, your brain will use the power of neuroplasticity to create new buttery movement patterns that will help you move better.
