It’s not very often that Rudnik has ‘bad days’, but like people, horses can have off days too. Today it was a mix of a couple things. The wind + all the girls being out in the pasture without him. He doesn’t usually get herd bound and never has in previous boarding spots, but as we’re getting into our warmer weather, he’s starting to feel a bit more energetic and he KNOWS they’re up there eating ALL the grass without him 🥲 When I noticed he was a bit distracted and not really paying attention to what was going on around him, thats when I decided it was time for a little ground work to get him back in the right headspace. It definitely helped and he wasnt nearly as ‘antsy’ after a few minutes of ground work All things considered, he did great for his trim today, just a bit impatient. AND he finally got to see Little B awake and wide eyed! Though he couldn’t understand why Little B was kicking him in the face 😂 I tried to explain to him that’s just what Little B does when he’s excited but I think he was more concerned about where his carrots were hiding
